Content Blocks

The Content Blocks section of the Manage Displays screen allows you to configure the areas of the display that will show AxisTV playlists and crawllists.  Content block configuration applies to the selected Mode.  Pictured below are two sample plasma layouts that demonstrate how flexible the Content Blocks section is.

There are three (3) content blocks configured for this display's active Mode.  All three blocks are playlists.

Each content block is identified arbitrarily by a sequence number.  Content blocks are built in this order and when combined with Z-Order determine what happens visually when you place content blocks on top of one another.

A content block can contain either a playlist or a crawllist as the main content.  To specify a playlist simply choose it from the list, else choose N/A for not applicable.  N/A should be chosen if the content block is to contain a crawllist as the main content.

The Z-Order specifies a visual top-to-bottom ordering of the content blocks.  Blocks labeled as 1 are on top of those labeled 2 and so on.  When you combine Z-Order with the content block sequence number you can control what happens visually if you decide that content blocks should partially obscure one another.

The content block can be any dimensions that you wish (greater than 0 by 0, though).  The pixel values are limited by the selected video port.

Click Change to change a content block's settings, else click Remove to remove it completely from the Mode.

If you wish to add a content block, click Add after establishing its settings.
