The Create Event Schedule screen allows you to create a group of bulletins that is automatically refreshed by the Event Schedule Plugin to display current or future events. The events can come from AxisTV or from an external Event Management System. The first step in creating an event schedule bulletin group is to define the attributes of events you want to include in the group.
Since you can create as many event schedule bulletin groups as you wish you need to provide a name to distinguish them once they've been scheduled in playlists. This name is also visible in My Bulletins.
Regardless of how many events qualify according to your filtering criteria you can limit the number of bulletins generated to a specific number 1 - 10 OR you can leave the count unlimited.
The default for filtering events is to gather events that start today. You can change the start day by days or weeks using the dropdown list.
The default is to show events that start Today through the next 0 days (which means only show Today's events). Just as you can have the Event Schedule Plugin gather events that start today (or days or weeks after today) you can also control the timespan to cutoff by picking a number of days, hours or weeks.

If you are gathering events that are for a different time zone than the system then you can use this adjustment value (-12 through +12 hours).

Events normally display on bulletins until the end time has elapsed. You can limit how long an event is displayed by checking Stop Displaying Event below and specifying a timespan. The event will stop displaying when either the end time has elapsed or the limit you impose has elapsed, whichever comes first. |

You must filter the Rooms, Event Statuses and Event Types to tell the Event Schedule Plugin which events to gather. By default, all rooms, statuses and types are Excluded. To mark one as included you select it in the appropriate Excluded list, then click the > include button.
> Includes a selected item from the list to the button's left < Excludes a selected item from the list to the button's right
If you decide to exclude a selected Room, Event Status or Event Type you must select it in the appropriate Included list and click the < exclude button.
You can force a regeneration of the preview bulletin(s) at any time by clicking Preview.
As you change the selection criteria for events the preview thumbnails are automatically regenerated by the Event Schedule Plugin. On step 1 you cannot control the visual properties (font sizes, colors, placement). Step 2 is concerned with the visual properties of the bulletin group.
Once you are satisfied with the definition of the event group (its selection criteria) you can click Next to change format settings, or click Cancel to go back to the menu (and lose all your changes). |
