Event Schedules can be displayed in AxisTV by creating bulletins that are maintained by the Event Schedule Plugin. You tell AxisTV to maintain these bulletins by adding them in the Bulletins | Create Event Schedule screen.
Before you add a new bulletin (or group) of events, you need to decide where the events will come from. You have three choices:
Enter events manually, via Events | Manage Events *
*If you choose this method, you will need to first establish the event Rooms, Types and Statuses that you wish to maintain.
Configure the Dean Evans EMS Adapter to insert events automatically, via Events | Dean Evans EMS Adapter
Use the Text Adapter to insert events in bulk, via Events | Text Adapter
All three methods populate the AxisTV event schedule so that you can create one or more bulletin groups displaying portions of the event schedule.
Once you've decided on the method for maintaining the list of events within AxisTV you are ready to create an event bulletin group. As stated previously the Bulletins | Create Event Schedule menu option creates new event schedule bulletin groups. There are actually two steps (two screens) to the process.
Define the characteristics of the events you want to include, using the Step 1 screen
Define the visual characteristics for the display, using the Step 2 screen
Once you've created the group you can schedule the group to appear on one or more playlists, depending upon your privileges.
You can edit the event and visual characteristics of the group at any time from Now Playing | Bulletins or Bulletins | My Bulletins, depending upon your privileges.
