Create Weather

The Create Weather screen in the Bulletins menu allows you to create a new bulletin that displays weather information for a single location.  The bulletin is automatically refreshed by the Weather Plugin anytime it senses that weather conditions have changed for the location.

Since you can create as many weather bulletins as you wish you need to provide a name to distinguish them once they've been scheduled in playlists.  This name is also visible in My Bulletins.

Each bulletin displays weather conditions for one location.

If you wish to include forecast weather you can provide a starting day for the forecast (relative to today).  You can also specify how many days to include.

You can choose any available Aspect Ratio.

You can choose any Background image that is available for the Aspect Ratio you've chosen.

You can choose any background Audio file.

If you want a title block displayed you can check the Show Bulletin Title box and enter a title.  The Top and Left values are in pixels relative to the dimensions of the Aspect Ratio chosen.

All blocks allow you to specify the rendition of the font: Bold, Italic, Underline and Strikethrough.

Many blocks allow you to specify the font color, name and size.

If you wish to include current conditions in your bulletin then specify the top of the section in pixels relative to the dimensions of the Aspect Ratio chosen.

You can specify a title for the current conditions section, specify its position within the section, and include a timestamp.  The timestamp lets you know when the current conditions were, in fact, current.

All weather conditions are generalized in terms like: Sunny, Mostly Cloudy, Rain, etc.  There are icons associated with each of these generalizations.  You can optionally show the icon on the left or right side of the section.

Show Weather Type
Show Temperature
Show Humidity
Show Wind

Each of these values is optional.

If you wish to include forecast weather in your bulletin then specify the top of the section in pixels relative to the dimensions of the Aspect Ratio chosen.  The forecast section MUST be below the current conditions section, unless you have elected not to show the current conditions.

You can specify a title for the forecast section and specify its position within the section.

You can force a regeneration of the preview bulletin at any time by clicking Preview.

As you change the settings the preview thumbnail is automatically regenerated by the Weather Plugin.

If you wish to disregard all your changes and go back to the menu or previous screen you can click Cancel, otherwise click Next to save your changes.
