There are two kinds of text bulletins you can create with AxisTV, a Text Bulletin and a Text Bulletin with Title. Both screens are accessible from the Bulletins menu.
The general steps to follow are:
Choose a background image, if appropriate
Choose a background audio, if appropriate
Enter your bulletin text
Spell Check the bulletin text
Decide whether AxisTV should automatically calculate the font size*
Choose the fonts, colors and sizes for all text (body & title)
Choose the alignments for all text (body & title)
Nudge the text for finer-tuned placement (body & title)
Add more bulletins using the button.
Save the bulletins and move onto scheduling using the button.
If you have the privilege, the next screen you will see is the Schedule Bulletin screen. If you click in the Schedule Bulletin screen, then the bulletins you've just created are available in My Bulletins.
The first decision to make when scheduling the bulletins is which playlists. You can choose any from the list of available playlists but must choose the same mode, such as Normal or Alert. You cannot mix modes in one submission.
Choose the Show schedule. This determines the start and stop date and time of the bulletins.
Choose the Display schedule. This determines the start and stop times of the bulletins within each day.
Choose a pace for the bulletins. You can specify a specific number of seconds or you can let the system calculate the pace by using the words-per-second standard for the aspect ratio multiplied by the total number of words on the bulletins.
Submit the bulletins to the playlists by clicking .
*If you choose to let AxisTV calculate the font size then any changes you make to the font size are ignored. You must uncheck before changing the font size.
