My Crawls

The My Crawls screen helps you manage all of the crawls you (and others) create.  The options you have on this screen depend upon your privileges (as assigned by a system administrator) and the folders you view.  The screen is divided into two main sections: Folders and Crawls.  Folders in the folders section group crawls.  The crawls section shows crawls that are NOT grouped into folders.

You can view the crawls in folders that belong to you, others or Everyone (Shared Folders).  This capability is constrained by the privileges granted you by the administrator.

You will be given the option to create folders based on your privileges and the folder selection you make.

The icon for your folders depends upon whether you are viewing its contents.  An open folder means you are seeing the crawls inside the folder while a closed folder means the crawls are NOT being displayed.

Every folder that you have access to has a set of control buttons.  You can add crawls to the folder, empty it, or remove the folder from the system (this doesn't delete the crawls).

You can view the crawls that are NOT filed in a folder in the bottom half of the screen.  You can choose to view your crawls or someone else's crawls, based on your privileges.

If you have sufficient privilege you can edit an existing crawl, regardless of whether it is filed in a folder.

If you have sufficient privilege you can remove a crawl from a folder.  This does NOT delete the crawl from the system.

If you have sufficient privilege you can delete a crawl from the system.  Note that even if you have enough privileges this button will NOT appear if the crawl is on a crawllist.  You have to remove a crawl from all crawllists before you can delete it.

All existing crawls can be scheduled as many times as you wish on as many crawllists as you wish.

You can add as many crawls as you wish at once to a folder by checking the Select box on each crawl before clicking Add to Folder.

Every crawl will display this note if it currently appears on a crawllist.  When you see this note you will NOT be given the Delete Crawl button.
