Screensaver Plugin

The Screensaver Plugin generates non-video images for all Public Playlists.  It generates images based on the Regeneration Interval you specify.  This interval, in minutes, dictates how long to wait when checking for changes to bulletins.

Each Screensaver Client must obtain images from the Screensaver Plugin.  You can control how often the client poll for updates by specifying a minimum poll interval.  This interval, in minutes, dictates how long to wait when checking for changes to images.  Note that the client polling and the Plugin regeneration run independently of one another.  This means that any bulletin changed could take up to Regeneration Interval + Minimum Poll Interval to make its way down to the client.

The total number of clients allowed to access the Screensaver Plugin is documented for you.  To increase this number you must purchase additional Screensaver Client Licenses and register them.

If there will be a large number of Screensaver Clients, you can let the system register them automatically.  A client is registered (and consumes an available license) the first time it connects to the Screensaver Plugin.  If you select "No" you will have to manually register the clients with the Add Clients control on the screen.

All high level changes can be immediately applied to the Plugin by clicking Update Service.

The total number of clients registered is documented for you.  The difference between this number of the Total Clients Allowed represents the additional clients that can be registered.

This control allows you to manually register clients.  The client name is the Windows Computer Name of the client, not the network or DNS name or IP address.

This control allows you to remove registered clients.  You will likely want to remove clients if the PC is replaced and the computer name changes.  You can then add the replacement PC with the Add Clients control or let the Screensaver Plugin add the client if Automatically Add Clients is "Yes".
